Salem Arts Association takes this opportunity to bring the galleries to you. In response to the Global Coronavirus Pandemic we strive to continue to deliver on our mission " To bring art, in all its forms, to the community and bring the community, in all its diversity, to the arts in Salem, Massachusetts." Primavera - from the Italian - "in the style of springtime." In “Primavera” Salem Arts Association invited the community to share work in all mediums around the themes of the spring season, fresh starts, healing and any other interpretation applicable to this theme.

Paul Nathan Gallery
We're proud to host the largest collection of Paul Nathan artworks in the world. Nathan's unique process starts with acrylic paintings which are then photographed and composed as collage creating a whimsical and wonderful world uniquely their own.
Paul Nathan has occupied this location since the mid-1980's and through his generosity and vision as an artist Salem Arts Association enjoys presenting our galleries in this space with Paul.
Salem Arts Association is excited to close our 2020 exhibition schedule with a showcase of our member artwork.
It's a great opportunity to consider the gift of art for your friends, family, or to treat yourself to something beautiful.
Our current Salem Arts members are exhibiting their best work showing the community what we have to offer in all of our diverse styles and artistic disciplines.
"The aspect of the venerable mansion has always affected me like a human countenance... It was itself like a great human heart, with a life of its own, and full of rich and sombre reminisces."
Inspired by PEM
Salem Arts Association presents an exhibition by local artists inspired by the Peabody Essex Museum's collections of art. Artists draw inspiration from any of the work in the PEM's outstanding special exhibits and permanent collection of art and architecture.
Salem Arts Association members and community of artists explore Salem’s history with Autumn, Halloween, Witchcraft, and the Spirit of the season. The resulting exhibit represents diverse interpretations of the theme and how, by bringing them together, we create a collective understanding of it.
