Call for Artists: "Shattered"

An unprecedented immersive exhibition curated and created by Tadhg Slater in collaboration with Salem Arts Association.

We are blowing open the door and redefining the rules with a January Exhibition! Closed in January? Hardly!

Shattered explodes the boundaries of traditional art experiences. Journey through a world of fractured reflections, distorted perspectives, and unexpected juxtapositions where walls dissolve, floors shift, and reality bends. This groundbreaking exhibition, born from the collaborative redesign of the gallery by the artists themselves, guarantees to make you think, feel, and engage with contemporary art in a whole new way.

We seek submissions from local and national artists across all mediums, especially outsider artists, exploring themes of brokenness, identity, memory, transformation, and perception.

Selected artists gain unparalleled opportunities: exhibit in a cutting-edge immersive environment, collaborate with renowned artists like Tadhg Slater, Will Weygint, Jonathan Pinto, David Curcio , Aaron Kuzman,  and others, and reach a diverse audience with the potential to launch artistic careers. Do not miss out on this opportunity.

Jurying: All works juried by Tadhg Slater and the aforementioned established artists.

Important Dates:

Gallery Immersive Installation Begins: December 16th (local artists are expected to participate) Submission Deadline: December 26th Artwork Delivery Deadline: January 2nd

Please Note: To preserve the immersive experience, there will be no gift shop in January.

Eligibility: National, regional, local, and outsider artists.

Take In: Thursday Jan 2, 2025, 12:00-4:00 PM Also shipping dealing for receivables.

Reception: Friday, January 10. 2025, 2024, 6:00-8:00 PM
Exhibition Dates: January 11 – February 9 2025, 2024
Pick Up of Artwork: Monday, February 10, 2025, 12:00-4:00 PM

Solo Show Opportunities at Salem Arts 

Salem Arts Association invites member artists to submit applications for solo exhibitions in 2024. Interested artists must submit an online proposal to be considered. Your proposal must include a detailed exhibition proposal. Artist bio and background, and examples of the work to be displayed. Selected artists will be featured in one of our exhibition galleries during one of our scheduled exhibitions.
