Artist Bio or Résumé
Therese is a visual artist, fashion designer, musician, sacred dancer and local fashion icon. Using components from all that glitters along with her use of rhinestones, lace, beads, sea shells, feathers, fur, she creates folk art and fine jewelry
incorporating her unique self taught sensibility and her spirituality. She has created her own Pan Pipes from locally harvested reeds as well as queena flutes she calls "breath of the soul". Her pieces can be used for ceremonial purposes and healing as well as for decorative appeal.
Born in Salem, Ma., to a large family of French ancestry with a tradition of community involvement in art, healing, and business, she is one of a few who have a genuine right to claim distinction of being publicly recognized as being one of the first original modern day Salem-born Witches. Along with studying with many teachers including the "Official Witch
of Salem" Laurie Cabot, she is a past member of the Black Doves of Isis Coven appearing in the National Geographic 1979 April issue and continues to practice her unique style of modern day Witchcraft.
She is a founding member of the 80s rock band Original Sin; has collaborated in creating healing and magical music, studied sound healing with David Sykes and Johnathan Light; studied theater and sacred dance for over 30 years.
Therese has appeared in CBS Evening news with Dan Rather, the Lifetime Channel, the National Enquirer TV and was recently approached by Disney associates as a consultant. She continues to inspire all who encounter her including her clients, friends, family members, her children and grandchildren with her magical presence, unique styling and colorful one-of-a-kind creations.
Artist Statement
All art is a language of the soul and sings through out the Universe and speaks individually to the hearts of humanity. I feel very fortunate to be able to share my own unique expression through this wonderful venue of the Salem Art Association.
