Artist Statement
I am a multidisciplinary artist incorporating “traumantasy” into my magic realism
worlds. When not making public art, my work illuminates the line between horror
and the queerly erotic—spurring a dialogue in which transgression connects
vulnerable communities with shared social resources. I engage my visual art
practice, exploring the unsafe terrain of the self, sexuality, and belonging, as an
active response to risks which are present in life that have to be acknowledged to be
changed.
