Artist Bio or Résumé
My name is Dewa Gede Raka-Goncalves. Everyone calls me Dewa. I was born and raised in Bali, Indonesia. Since childhood already I liked to paint. At the time, it was just a hobby. I never learned to paint, I never took classes, it just come from my own self. I stopped painting for many years because everyone told me I needed to be focused on having a real career and not painting. I didn't begin painting again until I moved to America, where I was encouraged to follow my long love passion of creating art.
So, I began painting again and ventured to participate in exhibitions and apparently, many people liked my paintings, which made me happy that my art makes people happy. That made me want to continue to paint and not stop painting until I leave this earth and to show my art to the community. And here I am sharing my art with you. What I want to achieve is to make everyone happy and happy to see my work. This is happiness in my life, to bring joy and happiness to people through my art.
