Separations An exhibition by Miles Smith “Separations” is a collection of art prints that navigate the discomfort of vulnerability, the instability of identity, and the distortion of memory. Miles Smith utilizes a variety of serigraphic methods, both analog and digital, to explore the medium’s potential for self-expression over its more common commercialized use. His goal is to communicate and connect with others through mutually understood symbolism and conversation with art history. Viewers are invited to consider how the show’s themes may apply to their own human condition. Miles will be graduating from Salem State University this spring with a bachelor’s degree in art and design and a concentration in printmaking. He is currently an intern at the Salem Arts Association and hopes that he can help other artists display their own works in the future. On Display April 5 through May 17, 2025 Artist Reception: Friday April 4, 2025 - 6:00 to 8:00 PM |
